Bombay High Court Recruitment 2023 Eligibility & Qualification
Stenographer (Grade-3):
Must have a Degree from any recognized University.
Preference given to candidates with a Degree in Law.
Adequate knowledge of the regional language.
Qualify Government Commercial Certificate Examination or equivalent.
Computer Typing Basic Course proficiency.
English Shorthand: 100 w.p.m., Marathi Shorthand: 80 w.p.m.
English Typing: 40 w.p.m., Marathi Typing: 30 w.p.m.
Possess Computer Certificate from recognized institutes.
Junior Clerk:
Degree from any recognized University.
Preference given to candidates with a Degree in Law.
Adequate knowledge of the regional language.

Note:- The High Court reserves the right to conduct the Screening Test for the post of Stenographer (Grade-3) at par with the Screening Test for the post of Junior Clerk, depending upon the number of applications received.

Additional Information:
Questions on computer knowledge shall be included in the Screening Test for the post of Junior Clerk.
Candidates eligible for further tests will be displayed on the Notice Board and official website of concerned District Courts and High Court.
Candidates equal to 3 times the number of posts advertised based on total marks obtained in various tests shall be called for an interview. If there are ties, all tied candidates will be called for an interview.
Bombay High Court recruitment 2023 examination passing criteria
Benchmark for Passing: The passing criteria for Screening Test, Shorthand Test, Typing Test, Cleaning & Activeness Test, and Interview are applicable to the posts of Stenographer (Grade-3), Junior Clerk, and Peon/Hamal.
Passing Marks: A candidate needs to secure a minimum of 35% marks to pass each test.
Category-wise Relaxation: There is a relaxation of 5% marks for candidates belonging to specific categories: Schedule Caste (SC) Schedule Tribe (ST) Other Backward Class (OBC) Special Backward Class (As specified by the Government)
General Category Requirements: General category candidates need to achieve the benchmark of 35% marks.
Relaxation for Specified Categories: Candidates from SC, ST, OBC, or Special Backward Class need to achieve 30% marks to pass each test.
Government Specification: The specified relaxation is as per the categories mentioned and defined by the Government.
Bombay High Court Recruitment 2023 Age Limit
Age Limits: Minimum Age: 18 years or above. Maximum Age: General Category: 38 years. SC, ST, OBC, Special Backward Class: 43 years (as per Government norms).
Exception for Government Employees: No maximum age limit for State/Central Government employees applying through the proper channel.
Family Planning Consideration: Candidates should have a maximum of two living children born after March 28, 2006.
Eligibility Criteria Check: No eligibility for candidates convicted of offenses involving moral turpitude. Permanent debarment or disqualification by relevant authorities results in ineligibility.
Legal Consequences: Past criminal records or disqualification by relevant authorities can lead to ineligibility for the appointment.
