CTET Application Form 2024

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), is set to take place on 07-04-2024 (Sunday) across 136 cities nationwide. This prestigious examination, available in twenty languages, serves as the gateway to a fulfilling career in teaching.

CTET Eligibility

• For Classes I-V (Paper I):
  Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
  Completed or in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  Or, at least 50% in Senior Secondary and the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
• For Classes VI-VIII (Paper II):
  Graduates with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or in the final year of the program.
  Or, Graduates with at least 50% marks and in the first year of a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  Or, at least 50% in Senior Secondary and the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
• CTET Certificate Validity:
  The CTET certificate is now valid for a lifetime, as per the latest update from CBSE. Previously, it had a validity period of 7 years from the date of the result declaration.
• CTET Qualifying Marks:
  General Category: Candidates must score at least 60% marks or more (90 out of 150 marks) to qualify.
  Reserved Categories: Candidates from SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories must score 55% marks (82.5 out of 150 marks) as per government reservation policies.

CTET Registration Procedure

• Authentication Form: Fill in the State, Identification type, Candidate’s Name, Date of Birth, and Gender to generate a Registration/Application Number.
• Online Application Form: Complete the form and choose a password. Note the Registration/Application Number for future logins.
• Password Policy: Passwords must be 8-13 characters with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one numeric value, and one special character. Passwords can be changed post-login, ensuring it’s not one of the previous three.
• Uploading Scanned Images: Upload JPG/JPEG format photographs (10-100 KB) and signatures (3-30 KB). Photo dimensions: 3.5cm (width) x 4.5cm (height), signature dimensions: 3.5cm (length) x 1.5cm (height). Prepare images beforehand to streamline the application process.

How to Apply CTET Online

• STEP 1: Visit the official CTET website at https://ctet.nic.in.
• STEP 2: Navigate to the “Apply Online” link and click on it to proceed.
• STEP 3: Fill out the Online Application Form and make a note of your Registration No./Application No.
• STEP 4: Upload your latest Scanned Photograph and Signature.
• STEP 5: Complete the payment of the Examination Fee using a debit/credit card or net banking.
• STEP 6: Once the payment is successful, print the Confirmation page for your records and future reference.

CTET Exam Date

The CTET exam for July 2024 is set to take place on July 7th. Paper-I will be conducted from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by Paper-II from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Aspiring educators should mark their calendars and ensure they’re well-prepared for this important examination.
