The Department of Posts has announced the recruitment of 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) positions, including Branch Post Master (BPM) and Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM).
- Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed 10th standard.
- Basic knowledge of computer operations.
- Ability to ride a bicycle.
- Age Limit:
- Candidates must be between 18 to 40 years of age as of 05 August 2024.
- Age relaxation is applicable as follows:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Job Location: Positions are available across India.
- Application Fee:
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹100/-
- SC/ST/PWD/Female: No fee

Follow these steps to register for the GDS Post Office Recruitment 2024:

Visit indiapostgdsonline.gov.in and register to obtain your Registration Number. - Active Email and Mobile Number:
Please make sure you have an active email ID and mobile number for registration. All communication, including results and offers, will be sent to your registered email and mobile number. - Unique Registration:
Each mobile number can only be used for one registration. Duplicate registrations using altered details will be disqualified. - Forgot Registration:
If you forget your registration number, you can just go ahead and retrieve it using the ‘forgot registration’ option on the portal. - Prepare Information/Documents:

Indian Post Office GDS Recruitment 2024 Selection Procedure
- Merit List:
A system-generated merit list based on 10th standard marks. - Marks Calculation:
Aggregate percentage to four decimal places. - Marks and Grades:
Only marks are considered if both marks and grades are given.
Grades for specific subjects are acceptable if marks are not provided. - Grade Conversion:
Grades are converted to marks using a factor of 9.5 (e.g., A1 = 10 x 9.5). - CGPA Conversion:
CGPA multiplied by 9.5 to calculate marks.
Higher individual grades or CGPA conversion used. - Automatic Conversion:
The system automatically converts grades/points to marks.
