SSC CPO Eligibility
SSC CPO Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university by Aug 1, 2024.
- Open and Distance Learning degrees are accepted if approved by UGC.
- Some fields like engineering not permitted except for IGNOU B.Tech. degrees until 2009-10.
- Candidates can apply if they acquire qualifications by Aug 1, 2024.
- Original certificates are required; results must be declared before the cut-off date.
- Equivalence certificates may be needed.
- Male Delhi Police SI applicants must have an LMV driving license.
SSC CPO Age Limit:
- Age limit: 20-25 years as of August 1, 2023.
- Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years deduction from actual age
- Widows, divorced or separated women: Up to 35 years (non-SC/ST) and up to 40 years (SC/ST)
For departmental candidates of Delhi Police: - Unreserved: Up to 30 years

SSC CPO SI Salary
Here are the salary criteria for the Sub-Inspector posts in CAPFs and Delhi Police:
Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs: The position offers a pay scale of Level-6, ranging from Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month. It is classified as Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.
Sub-Inspector (Executive) – (Male/Female) in Delhi Police: This role also provides a pay scale of Level-6, with the same salary range of Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month. It is classified as Group ‘C’ within Delhi Police.
SSC CPO Exam Pattern
Here’s the exam pattern of the SSC CPO 2024
- Both papers consist of Objective Multiple Choice Type questions.
- Questions in Parts I, II, and III of Paper I will be in Hindi and English.
- Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I & Paper-II.
- Marks scored in the Computer Based Examination will be normalized using the formula provided by the Commission.
- Tentative Answer Keys will be available on the Commission’s website after the examination.
